a quiet corner

LUNO

the oldest monkey on chain

Stitched in a Missouri kitchen in the 1930s from a pair of worn-out red-heel work socks. Almost tossed. Now he keeps a quiet corner, and after hours, he gets up.

Not a brand.
Just a toy worth keeping.

hi. i'm luno.
Luno acting out his story
placard 01 · Russellville, Missouri

Born in a kitchen.

Russellville, Missouri, the 1930s. A woman named Luna stitched him together from a pair of worn-out red-heel work socks.

placard 02 · the hard years

Made from almost nothing.

Money was tight. Toys were a luxury. So she did what people did then: she made something out of almost nothing for her kids. Six sons, five of them later off to war.

placard 03 · condition: loved

Loved hard.

That little monkey got passed around, loved hard, stained, stitched, and still held together.

placard 04 · decades later

Almost tossed.

Decades later he almost got tossed. His owner's grandkids didn't want him. She couldn't stand the thought of him ending up in a trash bag.

placard 05 · a quiet corner

Saved.

So she called the Sock Monkey Museum. They took him in, named him Luno after the woman who made him, and gave him a quiet corner where people still pick him up and smile.

placard 06 · after hours

Not this time.

Memecoins get treated the same way: launched, hyped, and tossed aside the second the chart turns red. Luno already lived it. Pick the one that already proved it can last.

A newspaper, a trading card, a postcard, a record and a sheet of stamps. Every one stars the monkey that almost got thrown out.

One community.
One monkey.

Stop spreading thin across a hundred coins that all get treated like trash. Rally around the one that already proved it can last.

"The red heel is still smiling. He's been through worse."

get tossed again.
